22nd November:

Limit Zero's 24 hour charity circuit for the Cancer Society worked out to be a success!

- Amount raised at the moment: $1,584.60 (with more to come in)

- Combined we all did 96 rounds of a 15 station circuit, non-stop.

- The most rounds of the circuit completed by one person was 17 over 3 different stages - done by Anita Hamilton

- The circuit went for the whole 24 hours with at least one person participating all the time.

- The most popular parts of the 24 hours was at 1.00am and 7.30am where we had 10 people doing the circuit at the same time, on both occasions.

- 93 different people participated with one of them having recorded a circuit beforehand, and having it played on TV during, and one joining us on Skype, live from Auckland as I ran him through the circuit that we were doing. There were many more who donated the cause, but weren't able to participate.

7th November: Limit Zero's 24 hour fitness circuit

A Christchurch-based personal trainer is in the final stages of organising a continuous 24-hour fitness circuit to be held next week, to raise funds for the cancer society.

Blair Williamson of Limit Zero runs five fitness circuits every week out of his Avonhead-based gym. More than 160 people have attended these circuits, which range in level from easy to extreme.

"During November I wanted to do more than the usual 'movember' fundraisers - and also get more people involved in health and fitness," says Blair.

"That's why I've decided to stage a 24-hour continuous circuit - where I'm aiming to get at least one person completing the 15-minute circuits, and one person instructing continuously," he says.

The circuit will run from 5pm on Friday the 18th November until 5pm on Saturday the 19th November at Limit Zero on Avonhead Road.

Each entry will cost $10 - with all proceeds going to the Cancer Society, and you’ll be able to stay for as long as you like.

"Most of my clients are extremely keen to participate, some have even volunteered to fill the 2am slot - which is very committed," Blair says.

"However we need to get even more people involved - we can have up to 15 people exercising at the same time - and of course there are still several time slots to fill.

"Not only is it a great way to have some fun and exercise - within your limits - but we're hoping to raise around $3,000 for the cancer society."
